Council tax revaluation question

I'm in the middle of purchasing a one bedroom flat. It surprised me to learn that it's a band B property as all the other similar flats I looked at were band A.
There were a couple of flats up for sale in this building, and they both had a very similar floor-plan, both were in the same Band (B)
However, when I did a neighbour check, whilst every flat in this building is in the same band, all the similar flats bar one* in other buildings in the same post code are at Band A. Only one similar flat outside the building is at band B.
One Building was full of Band D flats, so I'm guessing that they're bigger homes.
Should I take into account the other buildings in the Neighbour check; the valuation check also puts me in Band A, so would it be worth appealing my band once the sale is complete?
*it's a bit weird, all the flats in that building are band A apart from that one, He should definitely appeal!

Looking at your letter, please look into this deeper, Martin Lewis has a fourm on this, perhaps one of the members will point you in the right direction.0 -
Sorry, I thought this was the correct forum - I've gone back to the article and have seen it links to a different thread:oLooking at your letter, please look into this deeper, Martin Lewis has a fourm on this, perhaps one of the members will point you in the right direction.~share and enjoy~0 -
At the top of this page, you should see a bar offering links to the main MSE site.
Third from the right is a purple option "Mortgages Homes".
Float your cursor over this and get a drop down menu including this option:
Popular Guides Include...
Number one in the list is "Council Tax Rebanding"
You should find yourself here:

Yeah, my question was for a clarification after reading that. I just missed the link at the bottom to the correct forum & assumed it was the one on Tax.:)John_Pierpoint wrote: »At the top of this page, you should see a bar offering links to the main MSE site.
