started off dmp 3 years ago with cccs £42000total last year decided to go alone,
had 8 creditors have settled 7 of them only1 left £12000
Just opened a tin that we have been putting any notes we have spare and there was £1100 so this will be going into my isa with other savings and now have 4k so will be writing to last debtor to make a full and final.
This has been achieved through lots of overtime cutting back on bills, we have 2 young children but always have days out camping kids love it,
When first started thought I would be in debt forever but am feeling so positive and have receved loads of advice off ths site

Hi Morgan,
Well done on the final stage of becoming debt free. I hope your journey will help others to carry on and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
RedIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Hi
Firstly, well done!
Secondly. what made you go it alone and leave CCCS and did your creditors have an issue when you did?
Thanks

because I wanted to offer full and finals thought it would be better, so rang each creditor andjust set up individual standing orders,
didnt have a problem at all, then with the money I saved from overtime etc just started from the small ones and settled them off, I thought going alone would be scary but it was fine had no problems at all0 -
Fabulous work, well done you! Keep going, you can do it x0

I love a happy ending! Congratulations, you must have willpower of steel. Getting out of debt is hard, but I imagine that getting out of debt when you have children is even harder, what with them wanting things, and you wanting to give them the best, etc. Here's to your new debt-free life!0
