Money for banking payments from home

I've received an email offering me part-time work and all I have to do is receive payments into my bank account and then withdraw cash and make Money Gram payments to a third party. It appears to be a reputable company but because it feels like it must be a con I checked the company website, which says 'we do not offer employment by email'. Have I had a lucky escape or missed a good opportunity? Bev

If the company website states clearly " 'we do not offer employment by email' then why even consider this might be legit?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You accept the dodgy money then send them cash via moneygram. This way you get done and they never get touched.0

Sadly by not participating you have probaly missed out on losing money, or possibly a visit by the customs/police.
Its either a scam to rip you off or its Money Laundering.0 -
It's money laundering.
Think, why would someone want you to receive their money for them?
Couldn't they use their own account?
Also by doing this you'd also be breaking your account terms - it's for your own personal use only.
Lucky you didn't do this, as you'd have most likely had your account closed by the bank, been put on the CIFAS register & had difficulty in getting an account with other banks.0 -
SCAM
Does that help?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Don't do it - the money involved is probably from drug-dealing or some other nefarious activity and the proceeds are likely going to be used to fund other crimes. You will lose out and possibly get sent to prison for money laundering etc and you put yourself at risk of even more serious harm as the people involved in this type of activity are "not nice" to say the least.:A0
