Does anybody have any idea if it is easy to earn a bit of extra income by becoming an extra for movies and TV shows? If so can you recommend any reputable websites?

It's easy but the money isn't good. Well, no better than a day job that is. It's not glam at all, and can be very boring, with sometimes long days for low pay. The thread above is a good one to read through. Avoid any agency that tried to charge you upfront for anything - they're not always scammers, but usually, and there are plenty of others who do not charge an admin fee at all, or take it from your first/ second job with them, and a percentage in commission thereafter. Good luck
