Not been thwarted yet with a wet day and wombling. I found one this morning, picked it off the car park carefully and it lay drying on the vents on the dashboard. Can check tomorrow and see if my determination pays off.

I picked one up that was sitting in a puddle the other day and it was a 5p off litre of fuel and I was in need of filling up. Brought it home to dry out, needed a couple of hours, then off to Mr T we went and came back with a full tank of fuel.

Hope life is now treating you better.

Welcome to the "coupon family" thread Brookdale 167

Congrats on your coupon use. There are loads of good coupons on page 1 and some really great baby ones for your little one.

Wombling is a great way of making money, every time I print a coupon I actually say I am printing money, because thats what it is.

My Ds goes wombling for me while I do the shopping (using the previous lot of wombled coupons) and at Asda the other day he got 17 receipts. Some didn't work for me but some did and I got around £12 from them. This will pay for my next Asda shop and he will go a wombling again.

So welcome, and I hope you save loads of money.

Have had such a terribly sad couple of years and coupon/offer combining and the elation from a good wombled find is helping me heal.

If that makes me a saddo or a loser too, then I am proud!

I am nowhere near as organised as you and circumstances mean I have far less time for shopping now. I can't say that I miss trailing out 5 or 6 days a week to be able to use the local 5 moc policy to best advantage, but I have to admit that the addition that is couponing can make a good distraction from sad/difficult times, give you something to focus on and a buzz when you have success.

I don't know who you are on PTS and I am not very active on there now, but things you have said have given the impression that you have had a very sad time and I hope that you continue to heal and enjoy being a savvy shopper without feeling that you are a saddo for doing so. :A

we are all such like minded souls - I have an excel s.s worked out too, thanks to DD2 and I keep a notebook of all email addresses and wombled finds together with their dates so that I don't re-use one before the next calendar month.

I have a box with sections for coupons but I have recently started a binder like on "extreme couponning" as it was so "at a glance" that I considered it ultimately time saving.

I like to open it sometimes and just look at it. I also like to go in my shed and stand & admire my stash. When Supersavvyme recently had that influx of new coupons I nearly wet myself with joy!

you are not a saddo, far from it,but be proud that you are healing yourself in whatever way you can, I lost my partner 2yrs ago(he wasnt old enuff to go) my brother died last year and I lost my best mate on xmas eve, if I didnt have this forum and all the lovely folks on it,I think it would have been very easy to withdraw from society, if you are feeling down these lovely people are there for you. you dont have to tell them what the probs are, just to tell them you feeling a bit down and they are there for you with hugs and good wishes.:), the mocs and things are just a bonus. so keep you chin up.:D
