Have just noticed this on the "Difference" thread,

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Butter_Margarine_And_Spreads/Country_Life_English_Butter_250g.html

Buy the butter at T for £1.30 use a 30p coupon, making it £1 and as it is 50p at Asda when you submit your bill into price check you will get 80p back thus making the butter 20p:T:T:T

This is a prime example of what we should be concentrating on, that and finding more coupons to improve our savings now that DTD has gone

but if you bought the butter from ASDA for 50p and used the 30p coupon it would still cost 20p, or am I missing something here?

I believe Judy, like some others [me included] doesn't have a convenient Asda to visit. :)

  • Morning all ;)

Lovely sunny day here and lovely post from IS last night.

Shopped on Thursday and used dtd, conditional spend till spits from T's and Sainsburys and LV's, so halved my shopping bill and no need to darken T's doorway until next week. :D

Good morning Perranlady, Cornishlady, madmuppet5, Midwinter, Idlesaver, Gill377, Jeferey, and Jonty03 and everyone else, your all early birds today.

Going to pop to Asda and yes, also Tesco today. Got to make the best of our coupons now.

I am going to use a .65p Tesco price guarantee coupon and a £1 fairy coupon in Tesco so the fairy will cost me .5p and I will get .70p back to spend again (or at least thats my theory) I am going to do this to make sure my tesco know its not all over.

Hope everyone has a lovely day, the sun is shining so hope we have a great weekend.

hi CW, its deff not over, I'm sure we can still have some "fun" with the new policy.:T:T

Just come back from Mr T and handed over my DTD voucher from last week. The SA then asked me how long it takes for the email to come through. As she had now managed to get her head round it and had done her first big DTD shop yesterday!!!!! You should of seen her face when she realised it would only be the difference.

Thanks, so we need to find the Fairy fabric conditioner with the Pooh bear on then, my kids will love that!

Can't believe I missed out on using vouchers till now, it sounds like they were so lucrative :D I'm happy to find this thread from DTD, better late than never. Such a nice friendly thread too :j

Hi clyndu ...nice to see you're still around....what amazes me is the fact that due to bad training this SA did not know...ever likely we get trouted.

yes, Mr S and Mr T have the promotional bottles, don't think Iceland has them, I usually find they don't have promotional items. No Mr A near me, so can't tell you about him.
