Can I ask a question to more experienced couponers

I have a coupon for Sharwoods, eventually after getting it to print out. Can I use it alone, i.e just purchase the sharwoods sauce and pay with the voucher or would this be rejected. If so, can I use self serve? or is this another no no.

Depends where you buy it/what you buy, generally as the moc is for £1.55 you have to buy the product that costs £1.55, most of the sauces are less than this (ie £1.10 in T), why not just buy something else with the change to 'disguise' it for say 60/70p and just give them a few pence?

Basically you won't usually get 'change' from a moc and some places don't like 0p but some don't mind....
:p:p Have a good [STRIKE]Tesc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Asd[/STRIKE]WHO? day - Err....I still wish Mozzies had a better website even though they are now on MyS! :p:p :rotfl:;)

i am new to all this as and a full time working mum to 2 year old twins I am sorry to say l lack time to get to grips with some money saving. I dont earn alot at all and my DH has just been made redundant so i need to save where I can.
and just don't really know how to start and keep my family going in this tough time.

    Hi razzamataz

sorry to hear about DH :(

another thread you should definitely read is here

if you post a new thread, with a list of your cupboard contents, the lovely, lovely people on that thread will help you to design a menu with the contents cheaply and saving money as well.

There are lots of lovely recipes on there for homemade biscuits, ie homemade hobnobs, so it is not a case of not being able to enjoy yourself on a budget - you can but cheaply and still eat healthy filling food.

I hope your DH finds something soon. xx

That is a good thread, I've not been on it in ages, but be prepared to get sucked in as you learn so much. I didn't get much done at work for ooooo 3 weeks when I discovered it but I picked up loads of tips. So good luck!

Wee bit of shopping today for me, no mocs though. 5p roadkill woo hoo which I found on the way to nursery so told DD she could spend it on sweets at the end of the day if she still had it...... I think she will be more careful with her pennies from now on!

Had a sneaky peek Aesop, it looks good, will have to have a proper look at the weekend.

Have been entering a few Asda receipts but they are all coming up with Asda being cheaper than T's - another reason for me only going to T's now when it's worthwhile eg the wine offer. I've still got a couple of Morrisons printed conditional spends to use, so may pop in again :)

jonty, I cannot recommend it enough to anyone, especially these days with so many people, me included, struggling on a very tight budget for food.

TBN - my DS found 5p in the supermarket, he came over, and said look what I found, can I buy a magazine now....:o I had to say no, as I had no cash left on me, and that would not stretch to a cbeebies magazine even with 50p voucher :(

but his Daddy will buy him a magazine :) and the 5p goes in his savings jar.

by the way, I am a member of many survey sites, and just now cashed out £10.60 :) if anyone wants to be referred ;)

I too am on a tight budget and love all the money off coupons shared on here! :D

    I had a good day in Sainsburys today ;

Got the Aquafresh Little Teeth toothpaste for 6p with coupon

A 1.3l carafe of the Innocent juice but had to pay 69p

3 x the frozen Butchers Choice sausages for 25p each

AT LAST got my one and only Finish Quantamatic with voucher after nightmares with them running out , not printing or last time left my vouchers @ my DD house! ... Cost me 6p I think but this offer in Sainsburys ends soon!

Got my free Sharwoods curry sauce

They had the blackcurrant / lemon mini cheesecakes ( tons of them ) for 50p but I didn't get any

I got the Foxs Bisqwits for 37p - They overcharged me by 12p for the ginger ones but not going to make a fuss over 12p!!! lol

I got 2 x Original 650ml Fairy liquids for 50p each but you can get them for free I think in Tesco's now? ( with the supersavvy £1 off voucher )

Anyway , a good shop and the Boots mag instore has some good vouchers on the back page and picked up my free Sanctuary 30ml toner today with the voucher code posted on MSE a while ago for £3 off Sanctuary @ Boots ( ended now! )

Thanks MSE'ers for sharing all your deals and finds!!! :D

I have been a ‘lurker’ for a while now and appreciate all the posts on using coupons, I think when it comes to coupons and how some people get their grocery bill to nearly nothing absolutely amazes me.

I’ve taken advantage of some of the coupons on here but I would like tell you about my trip to t’s last night, which was my best yet.

I bought 4 refill quantamatics 2 for £10 and a dishwasher freshener for £2.02 total bill £20.02. I went to the same young girl sa who takes all my coupons and asked her if I could use all the coupons together and she said ‘ I’ll try for you’. Aw bless.

So I gave her a £2 off a £20 conditional spend for Sainsbugs and 4 £5 off quantamatics coupons. Total to pay 2p :j. My sister was soooo embarrassed whilst I was dead chuffed.
