How much do you reckon survey companies make?

Hi folks,

I do a few online surveys usually £1 paid to me if completed. I have often wondered how much the survey companies get out of this though for each completed survey.

And another thing,

On a lot of the surveys if one was to diligently complete the survey it could probably take an hour. Even just clicking the answers sometimes can take 15 mins :rotfl:Do the surveys companies really believe that top managers (if that is what their targets are for a particular survey) are going to give up an hour of their time for £1.

Or are most of then just concerned with getting the surveys done and charging whoever is paying them?

Just wondered about the above as I am sure a lot of others on here do?

They'll get loads. I used to work in a market research call centre and on some surveys they really raked it in. Online, companies are cutting out paying the telephone interviewers and the equipment and building costs.

They may have other ways of targeting managers etc. I used to do surveys with all sorts of people, doctors and other people who you'd expect to be busy, and they'd give their time for free.

    Hi again,

Thanks for reply. I do the odd survey for globaltestmarket, I have raked up quite a few thousand points in this past but half of the surveys from them nowadays are sweepstake entry only. I think they probably try it on to see if enough people will complete the survey for sweepstake then if they don't they will probably offer points.

When I cash out now at 1000 points it seems like a long long way away again with 30 or 35 point surveys to reach the 1000 again, so usually I have a rest for a few weeks or until they send me a 100 point survey which they do sometimes.

other than valuedopinions thats the only 2 sites I am a member of maybe someone can suggest more.
    thanks

Onepoll have quite a lot of surveys (not today though as is bank holiday). They don't pay much each but doesn't take too long to get up to payout level of £40
