Am I the only newlywed NOT trying for a baby?!

Not at all! Well, I'm not a newlywed yet, but we definitely won't be trying until a couple of years after getting married, we want to enjoy actually being married and want to buy a house and entertain all our friends, and travel as well... so that's a long way off! I think there's no rush whatsoever.

Was nice today showing some friends who were on holiday our wedding video and photos today. Also had a cuddle with Moon, and told him how I was feeling, and that I need something to occupy me or to plan. Hopefully we're going to measure (well he is going to measure) the kitchen tomorrow, and we're going to go to B&Q to see what they've got, as that will be our next big project for the house. I'm off to my Zumba class in a few minutes, so that'll be nice too. Shame I've not got many pictures to show them all though, as we've not got any printed yet.

Hope everyone else if feeling a bit less down.

Nope not TTC here either. Been married 8 months now, loving being Mrs-NIM and I want to make the most of that feeling, as I doubt it will still have the new rosy glow after 18 years of raising a child, so I'm just enjoying his company and spending time as a couple, I think we're a lot closer than we were before we got married. I can't help on the post-wedding blues though, I didn't care about the wedding (in fact I was really nervous about being on show) I just wanted to be man and wife, so I've been on cloud 9 with all the extra time I've had to actually spend with my husband since then not having to attempt to have an opinion on flowers, seating, menu choices etc. I feel like planning the wedding kept us apart as we were both so busy so it's hard not to appreciate that free time when you think of it that way. :)

Sorry to bump up a relatively old thread but I just wanted to say omg I am soooo not looking forward to the wedding being over... lol. I have said on the July 2012 thread that I think our wedding is going to be like Christmas. I love the run up to Christmas. I love the organising, I will sit and watch LOADS of Christmas TV. I'll decorate the house just right, and find the perfect Christmas tree... and then Christmas day comes, and I wake up ridiculously early sooo excited, poking MrD till he gets up and I can give him his gift... then we visit the families and give them their gifts... and then night time comes, and it's all over. No more Christmas... The difference is I only have to wait 10 months before I can start all over again, planning for the next Christmas... I certainly hope my marriage lasts longer than 10 months pmsl.

Also, I'm a teacher so I've really only got school holidays to dedicate to weddingy stuff... since 2007 I have been slowly completely various OU modules, that has given me something to do during school holidays.... BUT I finish that this Summer... so I won't even have that to keep me occupied during school holidays. Lol NOT that I want to do another course - god I cannot wait for this to finish!! I am one for projects though - for example this Christmas I'm going to begin scanning in all of our photos from when we were children to join our histories together :)

I *know* I'm going to have to find a project to do after we're married.

Well we have got a designer from B&Q coming to the house on Friday morning. Unfortunately I'm now going to have to work on Friday though, as supply work is thin on the ground at the moment because of all of the bank holidays and the SATs coming up, and if I don't work, we won't be able to afford the kitchen anyway. (I'm a primary supply teacher.) Hopefully I'll be able to see the design options when I get home from work though.
