Hi
Does anyone have any discount codes for Trend Micro Pc-Cillin 12, https://www.trendmicro.co.uk , as I'm told this is the best anti-virus software you can buy. Having used both Norton & McAffee I know they are terrible because of the way they massively slow down your system.
Thanks,
JB

I tried both Norton and McAfee and suffered on speed ( so removed) , but then
after a crash I started with a clean machine, and McAfee works like a dreamAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

There's no doubt that technically both are good interms of detection both heuristically and pattern checking but they both suffer seriously with load and speed.
I've used trend briefly and was impressed with the range of tools from Wi-Fi detection, vital if you run Wi-Fi network at home and share broadband (to stop your greedy neighbours stealing your bandwidth!), to spyware checking.JB MIEEE MIET0 -
If you have an Intelligent Finance account you can get free Trend Anti-virus software which you can then upgrade to Internet Security 12 for £14.95. If you have a Halifax/Bank of Scotland account you can get Internet Security 12 for £29.95.0

It mentions 'Anti-Virus from Trend' on the current account page, so I signed up! I'll get my paperwork in a few days and my copy of trend and then close the account!JB MIEEE MIET0 -
I can`t see the point of paying for Trend when you can get a perfectly good free version of AVG.
I`ve used both and can`t see as there`s a difference.
My Trend was free from the Halifax (about 4 years ago)
But I think you have to pay now or at least a percentage of the full price.0 -
The vouchers board is really suppose to be used to discussing vouchers. If you would like to discuss anti-virus etc please post the the Techie Board!
