Leaving a window open isnt enough.

Dont you just hate it?

Went to Tescos the other day as I couldnt make it to Morrisons.

Parked next to a car where the driver had left their passenger window down a bit.

Got out and looked at the car next to me. There was an old person in the passenger seat.

It's been quite warm recently, is leaving a window down really adequate?

Should I have called the police? Or age concern?

You wouldnt treat a dog like it, why should we treat pensioners in this way.

may be the old person wanted to stay in the car and did not want the window all the way done.
If the person gets to hot they can open the car door.

why not ask the old person if they are to hot rather than ring up the police saying a old person is sitting in a car with the window a little down.

Do you know who the driver was?

No, it was a parent and child space, I'm hoping the driver was the child as the old guy didnt look able to drive.

If I was to go round Tescos asking everyone over 50 if they'd left an elderly relation in a car I could have been there all day.

They hadnt even left a bowl of water out.

    Why reply then?

If it's a troll, It's an a+++++++ because you replied.

Otherwise, it's more to ask if others have seen this happening (old person left in car).

It's borne more from some 50 something lazy person using the parent and child spaces at Tesco whilst leaving an elderly relation cooped up in a car on a warm day.

A day where the RSPCA would break into a car to remove an animal and prosecute the owner.

Was the old person wearing a thermal vest,a blouse,a tanktop, a cardi, another cardi and a thick woollen winter coat? I ask because I am amazed at the amount of woollens worn by elderly people on a hot sunny day.Maybe they feel the cold more.

My Dad, who is 90, sits in his front room with an anorak on and a blanket on his knees. I can't understand it because he won't turn the heating up (unless someone is visiting) yet he is not a poor pensioner and is more than generous to his family. He says it is just one of his quirks! Thankfully it is not one I have inherited because I hate being cold.

And yes, older people often comment that they feel the cold the older they get, so maybe this one was happy to sit in the warm car and if they weren't, they are more than capable of opeing the window or door I am sure!
