Options
I will buy a ipod or something what's the best music player?

however albums are too expensive for example £10 but thats not problem, the problem is i would want 4, 5 albums lots of diffrent songs to start with.

Any music company i can join pay a one of fee and download songs, or a tiny monthly fee

It use to be good in the limewire days

If you get an ipod be aware that you may not be able to get all types of music on it. I used to have one, it wouldn't upload any of the music I had found (and legally!) downloaded on the net. It only took AAC tracks not MP3 tracks or any other type, apple are kinda greedy in that way, it has to come from places like Amazon or Apple themselves or actual CDs. I got myself a Sony MP3 but most other brands will offer the same thing: the ability to put anything you want on it without spending a small fortune doing so!

You can convert MP3 files to AAC.. There is free software to do that.

The best tool is FFmpeg. It has libavcodec and libfaac, two codec libraries for transcoding.

Spotify mobile is £10pm. Probably more than you're tiny fee but also considerably more than your 4 or 5 albums too.

That's odd. The only thing my iPod won't accept is FLAC files. It rarely has a problem with anything else.

Depending on your music tastes, I've found the cheapest way for me to get music is to buy the physical CD and then rip the songs into iTunes.

Thats not true. Itunes converts them to that format when you update your library atuomatically. It just wont do flac for some reason.

Then why can I now get any of the MP3 tracks onto my nano? Is it because its v.old (2008 model) or something wrong with the itunes I have because mine will only accept things in AAC version and nothing else. I gave up the ghost a long time ago and now use Sony which I also find plays louder too (and the earphones don't leak half as much, but thats another story!).

I go to DJ website sites and get mixes they have made. Can get them on WMP but not to download onto or through itunes.
