Does anybody else use green met? I've had a list of books on there for quite a while now and none have sold. Has anyone sold any on there/had experience with it? Thanks

Hi
Same here. Hopefully I'll sell the others later this year,Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
I used to keep around 150-180 books listed at any one time and would expect to sell about one a month. I've now delisted quite a lot and am down to around 100 and have only sold one so far in 2011.
I am slowly working through my book stocks both on Greenmet and Amazon as the market seems to have died and my storge room can be put to better use.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've quite a few listed on there & in the year or so I've had them on I've got £15 of credit so possibly 5 books. The few I've sold have only made about 20p after posting them so not really worth hanging onto.
I have though sold several recently on ebay.0 -
my OH has a green metropolis account. We've shifted quite a few. The ones we always shift are always mainstream authors Patterson and Grisham etc. My OH says putting the books 3 for 2 helps aswell.
We always buy books with the credit made though.May £10 a day - £319.87/£3100 -
I use GM and have had my account since January 2011 and sold 2 books.Aiming to get Debt Free.0

I've been a member since Sept last year and sold about 5 or 6 books, I just leave the credit on there to buy more with :O
Your never gonna get rich from this but i like that you can list them all and forget about it till you get an email, I make about £1.50 a book after postage so not to bad, better then nothing0 -
I've got some "chick lit" on there that hasn't sold, but I did manage to sell some business text books on there after they didn't sell on ebay. Here I go again on my own....0

Do watch the postage. A standard paperback now costs £2.16 to post 2nd class, and you get £3 from Greenmetropolis assuming you don't go for the 3 for 2 offer or cut your prices to try and compete with other sellers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I did well at first but after more than 6 months of no sales decided that it was time to move my books to the charity shop - better that they sell at 20 or 30p and benefit the charity than waste space. I assumed that what I was offering was unattractive even at 342 or £1 off.
Added: I think that their rating system played against the 'older' members - it was going to be impossible for them/us/me to reach 5 stars as we were all awarded 4 stars when it started and cd work from there, but a new member cd sell 1 book and get 5 stars. If you've joined in the last two years this will not affect you however.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
