want to buy a dehumidifier but confused by language

Hi,

Oh this i admit may be a silly question, but please humour me, cos i really don't know.

I am looking to buy a second dehumidifier for my one bedrom flat as the condensation/damp problem is really really bad and hoping a dehumiifier at both ends of the flat will help.

However am confused by what the bit in bold means:

"Moisture removal up to 18 litres per day ( 32°C 90%RH)"

The other dehumidifier was given to me a few years ago so i didn't have to worry about understanding things like this.

Is it telling me it will extract moisture only when there is 90% in the air and only if its 32C.

If anyone knows what this means, i'd be grateful if they could tell me,

I think it means if the temperature is 32C and the relative humidity is 90% it could remove up to a maximum of 18 litres in 24 hours.

That’s pretty hot and pretty damp, as your temperature and relative humidity reduces to somewhere normal (whatever that is for you 22C RH 35% ?) it will remove a lot less moisture from the air per 24 hours, maybe just half a litre.

Be careful, don’t dry your flat out too much your windows and doors will fall out and all the walls and ceilings will crack (well not quite as bad as maybe that but you will see large cracks appearing everywhere).
