can't send PM

in Site feedback and Forum Help
Its not feedback as such so move if needs be but any reason why I cant send a private message? When typing and clicking to send, nothing seems to happen ie. no "your message was sent" or error. Is there a limit of posts before PM's can be sent? I couldnt find it anywhere?

    No message comes up when you send one. If you click in the radio box and go to sent messages, you'll find them.

    Nope, it says "inbox 3" which is right but "sent items 0" even though I sent 1 last night and at least one more a couple of weeks ago.
