Does anyone know of any good Bring Your Own Bottle restuarants in Derry? Me and some friends are heading next weekend but we are trying to keep it as cheap as possible?
Thanks in advance for your help

Not sure about BYOB but a good number of restaurants in Derry are offering 30% of your total bill at the moment. One started it and then a few now do it.
Quaywest is one of these places and I would highly recommend it.
I will ask the gf and get back to you.0 -
Not sure about anywhere doing BYOB anymore - but Fitzoys, by the top entrance to Foyleside, do a really reasonable pre-theatre menu deal0

Hi,
This will not answer your question, however I was impressed with the diplomacy you used in your subject heading.0 -
Thank you for getting back to me. Does anyone know what the Mandarin Karma is like for food? I think we have decided to go there?
Thanks0 -
Mandarin Palace is great. I was there on Friday night. You can eat either there or next door in Karma.0

Yes I agree, Karma is a great place. As its quite new the furnishings are stylish and comfortable, posh enough to be impressive but still relaxing and the staff are first class. We were there on Christmas eve and not back again until Mothers day, when we walked in the bar man remembered us and asked my husband 'guiness?'. We were both so impressed, well done Karma!
Having said that I thought that you were looking for a cheapie, I've also done Danano's and have to say they are also excellent. Last time we were there they charged only a very small corkage fee, and as the restaurant is very close to tescos, some of us settled in at our table and sent to Tesco for the drinks. Definately a cheaper option and you wont be disappointed with the food, staff or the lovely surroundings.
Actually you wont be disappointed with any rstaurant here as they are all pretty great. I have to say I'm very proud of our wee town, by the way were are you staying? I'm sure you and your friends will love it. Enjoy your stay In our fabulous city.0
