Best Steam Iron purchase

I am looking to get a decent steam iron to go throught the many shirts i have to iron (my partner is refusing to do it). It seems the best ones are with the seperate generator. the key thing for me is robustness and quality of the iron. I could even offer to do peoples ironing at a push

Does anyone have any reccomendations

thanks to all

Hi, I can highly recommend going for a steam generator iron. I purchased my first over 12 months ago and I would never go back to an ordinary iron. I have found it cuts down on ironing time, doesn't need refilling as often and makes a far better job, creases just disappear. I even iron vertically with it, curtains I have just hung and ironed the duvet when it was on the bed. I purchased a Polti Vaporella Fashion Steam Generator 3.5 bar and I bought mine from Ideal World and it cost me roughly £90. Polti are a very good name in steam cleaning/ironing and I would definitely buy this make again, I have looked on the Polti website and they are still selling them (Fashion Silver) and offhand I think they come with a 2 year guarantee. Hope this helps.
