Audio Books and Ebooks Free from online Library services

Hi

This might be something that lots of people already know so please be kind to me! BUT I didn't know and checking with friends all of them didnt know either. You can now borrow Ebooks and AudioBooks from the library for free and they can be downloaded on to a variety of platforms and the software to do so is also free from the library online services.

This was for Kent County County Libraries though and I think its a pilot scheme so not sure its the same in other counties. But it was a brilliant pleasant surprise to me. Up to 10 titles for 3 weeks!

Hope it helps :-)

Must be just in your county. As in mine you have to pay £3.75 for 3 weeks per audio book be it cds or the playaway systems. Unless it is childrens audio book.

Or you can buy a yearly sub for £45.

Wish they did around here save husband £45 a year.

Had a feeling it might be as its got Pilot Scheme on it and also they are asking for suggestions of titles to buy - I sent a couple off that I would like :-)

Definitely not publicised locally or in the library so thought maybe not many people would know about it. I dont think they have masses of titles so there might be waiting lists etc but nevertheless its freeeeee!

    Thanks

Didn't know that children's audio books can be borrowed for free - ideal for long car journeys. Thanks.
