Accepted for a vanquis cc and nationwide cashcard acc.

Been accepted by both the above today, only gone for the Vanquis CC to help build my credit rating up again, and also for anywhere that does still not accept a debit card. Also got accepted by the Nationwide for a Cash card+ account, was quite surprised by this as they were one of my creditors. Had not tried for a Vanquis before as when my wife did she was inundated with calls trying to peddle loans, for some reason this never happened to me. I started to clean up my credit files on 11/3/11 so whether this has made a difference I am not too sure! Waiting until around 11th May to get a new set of my credit files.

Thats good news Dojo

I have the Nationwide cashcard + account and find it really good, especially the instant updates to internet banking. Haven't had it refused anywhere yet either

Had my Vanquis CC for 4 months and they have just increased my limit from £250 to £500, still only using it to build up my credit score though;):pB&SC No. 298

Hi Ive just been accepted for the vanquis card been discharged 10 months and havent started clean up yet so really surprised! I am waiting to recieve the card but wanted to ask if you pay the balance in full each month do you pay interest? Im looking ahead as I want a mortgage in the next 5 years so trying to build credit rating (will also start credit file clean up next month but need proof of discharge!). Im hoping to start with vanquis card for a year or so then try to move onto capital one and then high street lenders not sure if the plan will work! Even if it takes 10 years to get a mortgage dont regret BR dont want credit just using it as a way to improve my rating for a mortgage ultimately.0

If you repay in full each month there is no interest. However you may be charged what is known as "trailing interest" which is interest from the previous month if you didn't repay in full that month0

As already stated as long as you pay off the full amount each month there is no interest added, and you get the nice green ticks on your credit file to boot:):pB&SC No. 298
