Printer Recommendations - with Cheap Ink?

I'm looking for a new printer after my current one stopped working. (Canon S200)
Can anyone recommend a good printer that has cheap compatible ink? It seems all the new printer models don't have compatible ink cartridges so it seems you have to pay up to the price of the original printer just for replacement genuine ink.
I’ve always had canon printers so don’t know how good other brands are. I don’t need anything special, just a basic inkjet printer that will be used a couple of times a week that has cheap ink (my last one only cost 80p per cartridge which I was very pleased with).
I’d rather pay more for a printer if it has very cheap ink since that will be more cost effective long term.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for any help

Mine is an Epson D68 photo edition and was about £45. The inks are very reasonable. The actual Epson cartridges are only about £18 a set so I'm sure the compatible ones would be cheaper, can't help with actual price as don't use the compatible ones myself. If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................

Hi, I also have an Epson printer (R200) I have always used compatibles without any problems, I can get a full set of inks for £7-10. You can find out more about ink prices on the comsumables link at the top of 'shop but don't drop page.
