Hello, your mate will never regret. Ask him to get it. Its briiliant. I bought the 6.0 Megapixels over a year ago and its fantastic. This 7 meg is wow!! plus 3 years warranty, hohooo, mega deal. Its easy to get it fixed if something goes wrong. Mine had a very minor problem and it was replaced for me without a wink.

To be honest I have just rushed on with this comment but you should ALWAYS try and find out the cameras turn on speed/reaction times - as cheaper cameras *usually have bad timings, which therefore mean you'll be trying to take a picture for what, 10seconds... depending on how good it is. Just a kind word of warning :)
  • I'm interested in this camera too so will be following this thread.

FWIW it looks like a rebadged one of these:

Oddly, Vivitar describe it as being 6.0 megapixel, despite the fact that in the picture of the camera on their website it appears to say '7.0 Mega' on the front of the camera???

Seems ok for a 3xoptical zoom.
    FREEDOM IS NOT FREE
  • Jessops are doing the Fuji A700 (7MP, 2.5" LCD, 3x optical zoom, etc) for £129.99, including a leather case and battery charger. You're usually better off going for a well known camera brand, it's the lens quality not just the megapixels! (fair enough no memory card, but you can pick them up for next to nothing on 7dayshop.com)
