prize never showed

Hi, back in Febuary I was told I had won a digital camera, after a couple weeks there was no sign of it, so I messaged them asking when it would be sent and they said the supplier had sent the wrong camera so they had to wait for the correct one to be sent, after about 10 days I messaged them asking for any news. They sent me a reply saying it had now been sent out and I should recieve it soon.

Well I still haven't recieved it, and now they don't reply to my emails. I was just wondering what you normally do in this case? Shall I keep bugging them or just accept I wont recieve it?

Hi rcccc, a prize which is worth a much as a digital camera would probably have been sent recorded or special delivery. I would ask them for the tracking number and say you will check with the Royal Mail if it has been lost in the post.

Who are the company? Do you have a telephone number you can call them on? It is much more difficult to fob someone off over the phone!

Don't give up though, that prize is rightfully yours!

Hi, Don't be fobbed off, you are entitled to the prize, if it is lost it is down to them to chase it up, but with the run around they have given you it seems a delaying tactic.

Usually at this stage I would suggest emailing for a final time and stating as it is now awkward and embarassing to keep chasing this up that you have decided to let the IPM deal with this on your behalf if you don't hear back within 10 working days.

BUT

It seems the company aren't bothered, so I would suggest emailing the IPM at complaints@theipm.org.uk, they will look into this and liase with the company and hopefully provide you with a resoloution. Attach all emails, sent and rec'd to your email to the ipm, so they have all facts.

I would send one last email to them and hint that someone recommended to you to contact the IPM and ASA about the promotion. This worked for me with a slow show. Good luck.
