Hi
I got in touch with them and there were still needing people
0 -
I was asked to do this through a friend who is a council worker.. she said they didn't have enough people. The closing date for our council was last week. Not bad money for a nights work!0

Our closing date was a few weeks back apparently.0

I applied online about a week ago although it said they had enough people and I would only get on a reserve list. Then I got a fone call in a couple of days saying that someone had unexpectedly dropped out and my application was handy on someone's desk which is why I got the phone call (how random is that!). They pay about £28.00 for the first 2 hours then £15.00 an hour after that. Usual finish time is after about 3 hours but I'm praying for a recount! Once you're on the list they should ask you automatically next time.'Bird bird, bird is the word'Long Haul Supporter's Thread no.269The RamonesPresent debt £224365.56Debt free June 2016

I did it, and it was a right laugh. I'm a council employee, and an email went out to everyone offering it. After a few weeks, those of us that put our name down were called and asked if we had any friends to offer the job to, as some rural counts had vacancies.
I was paid £12 p/h from 10 pm to 12 pm. Then £15 for each hour following. I worked till 1.15 am. Some people worked right through till 7 am and then went to work the next day! But they had a load of recounts demanded by the candidates, as often there was only 2 votes between winning and losing.
I went with a work friend, which is the only way to do it. Oh, also had a £25 training session on a bank holiday monday. So I made around £90, just waiting for my cheque to come through!
Make friends with a council employee, and ask them to let you know when the jobs come up. Oh - bring tea/coffee in a flask, you won't get offered anything!0 -
I did was there from ten till 5 and got £60 so not too bad but if our council did they payment like yours would have got more
was fun, and yes didnt get any tea/coffee my mate did it and she got drinks and sweets etc, guess it depends how generous your council is feeling lol 0
