Going to wrap everything up ready to add labels once payments come in

    Hey Everyone,

Finally made a start :), with £42.46 from a couple of eBay things that I posted today. I'm kicking myself now though as someone from the US has emailed me about one of the items asking for tracking info (didn't send it 'International Signed For' as it ridiculously overpriced), the last time someone asked for tracking info and I didn't have it they scammed their money back by pretending their item didn't turn up (knowing that eBay/Paypal would side in their favour!). :(

Has anyone else had buyers ask for tracking info? and if so, what happened?

Most people on eBay are honest so don't worry yourself unecessarily. Did you charge them via "standard international" as if so they may have expected you to send it "signed for"

Or did you charge "Airmail Small Packets"? If its this option you can politely say that this is what they paid for so it is not a tracked parcel

International signed for would only track in the UK anyway so it would be no use to the buyer really. Airsure tracks all the way but is more expensive

lolly, there is an ebay thread you can ask the question about tracking info, link on first post. Soolin and a few others are very helpful and have a lot of experience with ebay.

Also through work have found that if you need to send stuff abroad, rather than using Royal Mail and paying their ridiculously expensive tracking prices, you can get international couriers. This means you get tracking, sometimes much faster delivery than international post and guaranteed signature if the parcel has been delivered. AND sometimes cheaper than international post.

Your right, most people are honest, I think I'm just a bit cynical as my 'lost parcel' rate has shot up to about 10% of all parcels lately!!! On the verge of having a strop and falling out with eBay for a while!

I think I did say 'Airmail small packets', so that's a good point, thanks.

That sounds great, I would love to find an alternative to Royal Mail as their prices are killing my profits, especially since the latest price hikes :eek::eek:. I think I'll have a browse around and see what I can find.
