Bankruptcy and Common Tenancy agreement.

My Ex-wife has asked me to sign a Common Tenancy agreement. Her solicitor has told her it protects her should I declare my self bankrupt.
My worry is that this may not be true and she will still have to sell the family home she currently lives in in order for any Trustee to pay of any debts or loans in my name, even though I don't live there anymore. There are two secured charges as well as the mortgage attached to the property, all in joint names. The rest of any outstanding debt is unsecured. Should I declare bankruptcy? Do I have to lose my job? Does she lose the house?
