Credit Checks

Options
If I get a credit report to see what state my finances are in do my creditors know that I have done this? Can it open up a can of worms of debt letters? I just want to see if I have any CCJ's as we are trying to move house and all the Letting Agencies have said they will not accept you if you have had a CCJ and you will loose the agency fees paid if you fail this check.

Where do people with poor credit live? Does that mean if you have had an issue in the past then you have to live in a council house?

Thanks guys
 I'll get you debts and your little dog too!!!
And best of luck to all the other debt busters out there!!

I think if you check your credit report it does 'flag' to the creditors... I've seen another company listed where you can check if you have CCJs - cant remember the name of it - try a search in this forum.

Those with poorer credit records have a few options - higher interest specialist mortgage, mortgage in partners name if you have one, private rental or council house.
