Emigrating - Moneysaving advice needed

Hi all, our family and I are emigrating to the Czech Republic in the New Year and would like to know how we can do this MSE style!!
For example, it would appear that it is cheaper for us to use DHL rather than a removals company as we are only moving personal belongings??? Also is there any way of forwarding our mail on other than Royal Mail as we have to pay for two surnames and its quite costly.
Any other MSE tips for emigrating are much appreciated.

Check out any ex-pat forum there is loads of info on them. We are emigrating to Australia, hopefully (fingers crossed) in 2008 and they have been invaluable.No Signature Required ......0
