Deodorising pet smells?

Hi Lovely people of the Old Style board:D
We are having huge problems with newest member of our household, our 1 and a half year old staffie !!!!! Keira. She's a lovely little lady but we've been trying to toilet train her for the last year but to no effect what so ever. Due to her not being house trained she has the outhouses as her own area but they do absolutely stink. We've tried getting pet deodorisers from the pet store but they do nothing to odorise them whatsoever. Do any of you lovely people have any pet safe solutions for getting rid of the horrible smells!
Many Thanks
Nikkei

Hi Nikkei,
Sorry to say but I think the only thing you can probably do is scrub it with a scrubbing brush and plenty of hot water with disinfectant, or maybe some biological washing powder!

Skint but happy with my lovely family
Hypnotherapy rocks :j0 -
Biological washing powder and hot water, followed by a liberal amount of simple solution and leave the simple to dry, don't wash it off.
Possibly better to post on the pets board for advice on toilet training however.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Hi
Use biological washing power (not too hot water as it will kill the emzymes) and just scrub it a couple of times with that then rinse it like mad so it doesn't irritate her skin. Non-bio won't work..but bio will as the emzymes kills the smells
ps, in the house don't clean after her with cleaners such as Flash as they contain amonia and it encourages her to need to wee when she smells it...again just clean with warm water and bio washing power...and don't forget to treat and praise her like crazy when she does wee outside and try not to tell her off for doing it in the house as rather than teaching dogs it is bad to toilet in the home it actually goes into their heads as "don't toilet infront of the human as it's bad and I get told off...I must wait till they are out the room" Just say "uhoh!" and pop her outside even if she has been...also maybe going back to stage 1 of taking her outside every hour and then giving her a treat if she goes..then reduce the time eventually..hard work but well worth it x
(sorry...dog psychology course all coming back to me! lol)Why does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!0
