I'm new and need advice

After struggling for sometime with debts of around £150,000 I have managed to repay priority debts and now want to take in hand all the others. I therefore need a professional company / person, who does not charge excessive fees, who can approach these companies on my behalf to reach an amicable settlement figure.. As an ex CAB Advisor I could do this for for myself, but find it is not so easy to be detached when approaching these companies for myself.
Any help would be welcomed

Hi there and welcome
You could write to the companies and ask for full and final settlement figures but unless you have been defaulted/have missed payments, it's not highly likely their FF will be lower than what you owe.
Payplan/CCCS/National debtiline and CAB do offer advice on debt management plans etc but not sure if they would just act as your 'agent' on this. Give them a ring and see what happens. A statement of affairs will be asked for if you go down this route. Maybe you can post it here too and we can try and see if anything can be improved.

Just another nomination for CCCS, Payplan and CAB. All are free services. Avoid fee charging services at all costs!0

CAB money advice unit acted as our agent and dealt with all our affairs until we had no choice but bankruptcy. I know not all on here have had same positive experience but we found them absolutely brilliant.
