Has anyone used the youth code serum from loreal? I have used the moisturiser and found it ok but apparently the serum has 10x the active ingredients. http://www.superdrug.com/anti-aging/loreal-dermo-expertise-youth-code-serum-30ml/invt/240153/&bklist=
It usually costs £25 but is on offer for £15 and on 3 for 2 just now so if it is any good I can get 3 for £30 which is only slightly more than the usual cost of 1 - ultimate moneysaving but only if it works!!

I used the serum before I got hooked on the moisturiser, and found it lasted about 5 minutes! That's obviously a bit exaggerated, but it can't be used as a 'normal' moisturiser, it just doesn't go far enough.0

I've used all the products, I got most of them from Savers as they are better priced then Boots unless I want to bulk buy (which I generally don't).
Liked the eye cream, made a difference after a week and my eyes looked less puffy and I had never realised how much larger they looked as a result. Thats the one product I do keep repurchasing.
Face cream/day cream, so so, liked it but it did give me spots. Not as much as I normally get with certain brands but didn't leave my face puffy like those same creams. Wouldn't label it as my "number 1 product" but would say its worth it for the £8 I paid in Savers. (No idea if the price is the same, this was last year).
Night cream, like this, it feels nice to apply, smells nice, don't notice any real difference in any fine lines on my forehead but my skin does feel moisturised and still feels OK when I wake in the morning. Possibly not moisturising enough for me (very dry skin) but my skin hasn't started flaking with use of it yet.
Concerntrate: didn't really like this, feels too dense and heavy and doesn't really make any difference to my skin. I can't use it as a foundation base as it doesn't seem to like foundation being put on top of it but does mix well with foundation to provide a thicker base/to make my foundation less liquidy and so easier to apply.
Serum: I think I like this, I think I notice a difference but not too sure, use it as a serum over moisturiser when I am freaked out by fine lines on my forehead after a late night/early morning, not sure if its just my skin sorting itself out by 1pm or if its the product itself or even if its just looking in a different mirror with different lighting at a different time of the day but notice my skin looks better: fewer forehead lines. Doesn't add any illumination or colour, maybe worth seeing if you can try a tester anywhere. I thought for a while it was a dupe for the Lancome Genefic (sp!) but again, not sure, looks the same, smells the same but not tested them side by side. Hmmm! Jurys out I'm afraid!0 -
I have used it but prefer the Boots No. 7 intense protect and perfect range0

I haven't used this one, but I have used the Boots Protect and Perfect serum. If you use it every day (I used it under moisturiser) it makes a difference. Skin really does look smoother and brighter. Of course, the effects are temporary. But they do work. I expect the L'Oreal one is much the same. They probably all use the same ingredients (pentapeptides)."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Thanks for the replies. I generally do use a serum and am finding I need one more as I get olderGenerally they help the moisturiser go further and prevent the tight feeling as the day goes on and I also find a serum allows me to use powder without it sitting in the fine lines and feeling and looking cakey. I have not long finished an avon one that I had in my use up pile and also have some of the estee lauder pore minimiser one but don't need my pores minimised so that one is no use.
Jenniewb what benefit to do you find to using serum over moisturiser? I have always used it under moisturiser.
Hethmar, what is it about perfect and protect that you like? I didn't rate it at all.
I am still in 2 minds about whether to buy it or not, decisions decisions....If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
