Yeah I didnt quite get the house figures right. My home in the current market is probably worth £124000. I paid 130000 for the house 116000 was mortgaged. I have an interest only mortgage

Arrrrr, I did wonder as you had the mortgage debt as £0 but were still paying one (and with the assets showing as so much more than the debt).

Re the current accounts, I have one that my wages go into, I then transfer a set amount to a 2nd account to cover all my direct debits and have recently set up several "pots" from my main account & put away money each month to cover things like "car", "pets", "emergency" etc (anything left in my main account is to spend - or rather to try to reduce my OD).

So far it's working really well and as I transfer the money to all the accounts on payday it's like they're all payments made and I haven't raided the pots at all. Budgeting is my downfall - I usually get to the car service/tax/breakdown cover (all due in Jan) and have nothing put aside, have to pay it all from one salary and then take months to "catch up". Fingers crossed this may be the solution for me.

Try transferring what you "want" to spend each month to the 2nd account and keeping track and it'll show up any "forgotten" things - good luck.
