From MSE Lurker to DFW

Hi All,
I've been a lurker on the MSE forum for quite a while, but I thought I'd take the plunge and join in and start posting.
I'm currently owe over £7,000 on a credit card (about £9,500 at worst point) and have just finished paying off £1,500 overdraft.
My spiral into debt was caused by living beyond my means and burying my head in the sand about the consequences, with a little help from an ex who relieved me of about £2,000 as well.
My new years resolution is to get debt free by June 2012, both by cutting back to the bare essentials (been doing this for about six months) and trying to maximise my income (started April 1st)
Hoping the lovely people on MSE will provide support and encouragement!
Thanks
