My elderley father is struggling to live alone and I would like to buy his house and move in with my family to care for him. His will at the moment states that in the event of his death, the property is to be shared equally between me and a sibling.
Can I buy the house for half the market value and can then my father than give the money to my sibling? So in effect we havwe both received our inheritance? (They do already hold a joint bank account) What would be the tax implications for us all?
