Need some quick help/guidance on a knitting pattern

Right Front: CO 32 (34, 36) sts. Work 1x1 rib for 2 rows. Beginning with RS row, St st 3 rows.
Next row p across to last 4 sts, k4. Keeping front garter stitch band of 4 sts, dec 1 st at side edge every 4th row 5 times.
Just need help with the last part of this. I have kept the garter stitch of 4 stitches. where do i decrease one from?
at the side of the garter stitch or at the very edge of the knitting??

You should be decreasing from the other side of the front to the garter sts. the garter st will be in place of knitting a separate rib to the front, so you will be decreasing from the side edge.
