Hi
Hoping someone can help please....
I have the above machine and it is very heavily used in a family of 6 plus hairy dog!
At the end of the wash, the compartment where I put the fabric conditioner is full of a water and conditioner mix and the fabric conditioner does not appear to have made it into the machine.
I have had the drawer out and cleaned it over and over, run vinegar through it and put a cleaning product through the whole machine but still the conditioner/water mix does not go down.
Any ideas please? Am I facing a new machine?:(
Thanks for any help

I have had this in a different make when the soap and conditioner solidified and blocked the pipe that fed it to the drum.
I used a wire to look for resistance and then hot water to free the blockage.0 -
i had this in my last machine and poured a kettle of boiling water into the softener section0

At the rear of the softener compartment is a cover. If you push this with your thumb it will hinge up. Underneath this is a fixed vertical pipe and on the underside of the hinged lid is a tube that fits inside the pipe. One, or both of these will be blocked by solidified softener.
Take the whole tray out and give it a good clean in hot water. Whilst it is out give the top of the "hole" it came out of in the WM a good clean - best thing to use is your washing up brush !0 -
Many thanks for all replies.
I have cleaned the drawer as suggested but still no joy!
Guess I'll have to try using combined detergent and softener...0 -

Curiouser and curiouser ! This is just a simple syphon - no moving parts.........
Does your tray look like this ? with the cover folded back....
Put it in the sink and carefully pour water into the the pipe (on the left) in the softener tray.
Water should run out of the bottom of the tray (below hinge in photo).
If not - it should - clean again !
Try again, if water runs out now, close the lid so that tube on right (underside of lid) sits over (completely surrounds) the tube in the tray.
Fill tray to above MAX mark on lid, water should now be syphoned out of softener tray into outlet at bottom of tray...........
PS: Just had a very close look at the pipe on mine. The hole at the bottom of the pipe is not very big and, if blocked will need something flexible to poke down it - and very hot water !0 -
Wow thanks Moonrakerz. What a detailed response!
Yes my drawer is exactly like that pictured...! I have put water in as you suggest and it runs out fine. I am at a loss. Water seems to run out fine but
not the water and fabric cond mix....could it be that the fabric cond is too thick?? Was using Comfort.
Many thanks for all your help with this.0 -
When you say you have tried it with water and it runs out fine - I assume you mean with the lid shut......that proves the syphon is working OK.
In that case it may be that your softener is too "heavy" for the syphon to lift it.
Try it in the sink with various strength "mixes" of comfort/water and see when it does/doesn't self empty.0
