I know that you say you need the car for visiting relatives and for food shopping, but you are spending £160/month on fuel/tax/insurance/maintenance PLUS the cost of your car finance which you say is about to increase to £250/month (if I understand right) - that will then be a total of £410/month on running the car.
Considering most supermarkets will deliver for around £5 (that's £20/month), that would still leave you a LOT of money out of your upcoming monthly car expenses for taxis to visit relatives/etc
Considering you only spend £30/month on petrol, you can't be travelling that far to visit, I am sure that your taxi costs would be considerably less than the £390 costs you would save from ditching your car.My posts are my own opinions based on my experiences and info gathered from sites such as this.

There are no secured debts, I have a personal loan and finance on a car, which total 17000.
The rent is £120 per month because i am in the armed forces living in married quarters.
As for the house value, I thought it meant household value, where I have computers and TVs and the like, adding up to a value of £5000
dont the armed forces take a dim view at these levels of debt?0
