Making a Christmas basket

Here's the basket I have made for my Mum so far...
It contains: Original Soruce Bath Soak, Mug, Hot Chocs Sachets, Mini Choc Grate, Chocolate Shaped Candle, Bath Scrunchie, Mini Hot Water Bottle, Bath Pillow, Bath Bomb, Silver Dish with Lid (...contents yet to be added - bath salts?), Fluffly Bed socks with Toes and Polar Bear Sofy Toy.
The whole lot has cost me £7.23 and I have yet to add a few more bits and bobs. I have two sets of spa lights yet to add which cost £14 for 4 (£6.95 per 2 pack) which are mini-lights that have suckers so you can attach them around the bath to give the effect of a spa!
That's the most expensive item I've got in the basket, but the rest are generally bits and pieces I have picked up from Poundland, Home & Bargain or other such pound and discount shops! Some of the items like the bath bombs and scrunchies I have bought in multi-packs so I have been able to split them across several hampers!0 -
What about a relaxing CD? Foot soaks/fizzers, bathbombs, eye mask??0

I'm giving the loofah soap a dry run now.
I've got a lavender flavoured soap that contains glycerine, and I've cut it into small pieces. I'm not keep on using the microwave on it, so I'll melt it in a jug over a pan of boiling water.
I've got three potential moulds: 2 rings for poached eggs (I think that's what they are for) and a stainless steel spoon rest, whose bowl is shaped like: a bar of soap!
My loofah is a roll affair rather than a strip, so I'll slice a bit off and set it into the molten soap.
More later."Peter Pan is 2. Shirley Bassey is 3. Dr Ian Paisley is 4. King Lear is 5. Why?"

My first attempt at the loofah soap: 2/10.
I tried to melt the soap in a jug over boiling water, but the soap was having none of it. So, instead I got impatient and shoved the jug in the microwave. After stop-starting it, I managed to sort of melt it enough to mould in my sppon rest around my piece-o-loofah.
Unfortunately, I put the jug back in the microwave with not much soap in and the microwave melted a hole in the base of the plastic jugKitchen smells of lavender, now.
As for the soap itself, it's no longer the nice dark purple I had in mind, rather a sort of pink coour. Also, it didn't melt very well, so it looks like a cross between a human brain and a flat mushroom.
Just as well I did the dry run now, and not three weeks from now.
I'm down, but not out. There's time yet to get it and the rest of the basket right."Peter Pan is 2. Shirley Bassey is 3. Dr Ian Paisley is 4. King Lear is 5. Why?"
