Bank Holiday Monday 25th April - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Goood morning everyone:j:j
Nice to be back starting the thread...I've been a bit awol as it's been the hols for me so no really early starts. But, back to work tomorrow so you might see me again in the morning:)
Hope everyone's enjoying the lovely sunshine...it's been a great 2 weeks off work for me....though at least when we get back to school the spending will ease:o
Ok - have a great day whatever you're all up to on this sunny bank holiday. Here's my list:

Nearly posted on the weekend thread!
Erme - love your list, I never have to remind myself not to skip naps!
Thanks Erme, Dr Wooferand Pernie for your kind words yesterday. I went to Entebbe (a city about an hour outside of Kampala, on the shores of Lake Victoria) yesterday with my neighbor. It was a great little day jaunt - we went to the botanical gardens and then to the zoo. As it was easter, everyone was out in their fabulous Easter clothes (shiny is fashionable here!) enjoying the sunshine. The Kampala Indian community (which is huge) was also having a big day out, so there were loads of folk out picnicking.
It was all quite cheap as we used public transport and shared bodas. I have a burned leg from a motorcycle taxi exhaust pipe, but a small price to pay for such a lovely day out.
Cant believe its the last day off of the weekend already! I dont even have a long weekend next week, sigh.
Today I:- will catch up on all that work I was meant to do but havent yet,!
- pack my bags as Im leaving this flat tomorrow morning
- clean flat
- change kitty litter
- stay in and probably have an NSD
- check banking - Im hoping that payroll didnt some how muck up my pay this month with all the changes!
hope everyone had a fab easter!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Morning everyone,
Yippee, a day off. So far I have had a nice lie in and a cup of coffee and am on here to distract me from doing college work!
Perni, you asked yesterday, i`m a support worker (posh for doing home care!) which can be a really lovely job at times but the pay and hours are crap!
I think today will be a spendy day, I need a few things in town that I have put off for at least two weeks so gonna have to bite the bullet and go, generally I avoid town as I hate the trailing round and the rude people you encounter!
Todays DFW list;
Washing X2 at least and dry on line.
Walk pooches (might take car and go to beach):D
Exercise friends horse (unfortunately can`t fit him in the car to go to the beach).
Meals from stores.
College work.:(
Tidy house.
Sort more stuff for car boot sale on Sunday as I tidy.
Happy Bank Holiday everyone.0 -

Morning all,
I'm up earlier then I want to be today but had to give the bun her first round of meds. Only 6 more eye drops & 2 syringes to go.....she is really going to hate me by the end of this I think!
Pixie - Thanks for starting us off, good to see you back
Stitchy - Have a lovely picnic, sounds like a great idea to me.
NTBY - Wow that sounds lovely, & how great is it that you're getting on with your neighbour so well! Always makes a difference to a place when the people are nice.
Aria - At least you must have a sense of doing something worthwhile though, I didn't realise the hours would be so erratic with that kind of job! I share your feelings about town by the way, but then I work very, very close to it & have an hour for lunch so I think I just see it too much to be able to tolerate it.
Serendipity - Good luck with kicking the caffiene!

Greetings from Pattaya Thailand.
Today is Anzac Day the National Day of Australia.
One of the Aussie run bars in town is aving a free barbecue to mark it.
I will go there and get my evening meal for the price of a small beer (50 baht - about a pound) and still get to drink the beer to boot.:D0
