Any problems with M&S Wedding cakes??

Options
I was just about to order my daughter's wedding cake(Romantic Pearl ) from M&S when I stumbled across a couple of reviews saying that they had been really upset when the cake arived as the icing was flawed and bubbled and seemingly less than perfect.
Anyone got any experiences of this?
We really liked the look of the cake but are a little bit wary now.
Thanks!

M&S cakes are fab. I'm probably bias because my other half works there and we are having that one too, lol. Seriously though, we brought a cutting bar to sample the cake and it was lovely and moist. As I said, my oh works there as a manager in the food department, they sell loads of them and he has never had a complaint from anyone when they have picked them up (they are checked and approved by the customer when they pick them up).

If you found a couple of bad reviews out of the hundreds that m+s sell, then you would be very unlucky to get a bad one anyway.

Not ordered one as a wedding cake, but ordered a couple for my parents golden wedding anniversary party and they were fab. Even survived my clumsy attempts to get them to the party in the middle of a storm with howling winds, so I'm a fan.

Would have bought our cake from there but OH wanted cupcakes that matched our colour scheme.

I had several issues with our M and S wedding cake in March.....The cake layers were not totally aligned with each other, and the cake was not placed centrally on the cake board so they looked wonky. Also, there was a large air gap between cake and icing which looked strange after it was cut. No problems with taste though it was all yummy!
