My DS and DD are getting PSPs (pink and silver respectively)from santa this year so I want to sell their SPs. What the best place to sell them on. They have cases, and at least six games like spyro, madacascar and finding nemo.
Is ebay the best or wold i be better off trading them in at blockbuster or game?
cheers

You'd be mad to get rid of your SPs IMHO, but if you do need to sell them ebay is the best. Trade-in brings in so little money. Gamestation might have your games if they're unboxed but most people on the look out for games want them boxed and boxes in excellent condition. They are genuine games are they?
Are the SPs in good condition? What colour are they?
I waffle on with all these questions as I buy and sell a lot of games both on gaming fora and ebay (you can probably tell by my username)...sorry
Mind you if you don't want cash when you trade them all in and want credit for PSP games then you 'll get more. Have you bought the PSPs? Consider Nintendo DSs if you haven't.0 -

I have got the PSPs on my contract phone - did think about selling them and getting 2 x DS but I've already bought 8 new games for them which i found through this forum going at silly prices - well it would have been rude not too!
Suppose I could stll sell them with the cases and games as bundles. One is black the other is the pink edition. Games include Fifa 06, open season, mercury?, POTC 2 etc. Wuld it be worth and could i make all my money back?
cheers again

If you bought the GBA SP games from shops here in the UK or trusted websites they'll be fine. If they were a very good bargain from ebay and some other not so known sites, they may well be fakes. The way to tell is to look at the back of the cartridge. There's a little screw in the middle and if it's special tri-wing screw (three pronged) it's a sign of a genuine game. Also there will be the word Nintendo moulded into the plastic in the back - check it doesn't say Nintondo. Did the games come with proper instructions (and additional leaflets) or something a bit flimsy?, does the box look a bit shiny and 'scanned'? When you buy a game from ebay if the seller kindly says he'll send the box flat packed so it doesn't get damaged don't touch it - it's photocopied box that he's buying from somewhere.
Pirating is very bad.
(And many fake games look like they work but then don't 'save' so become pointless to the player.)
I'm sure your games are okay but these are tips for anyone buying this Christmas.
Depending on the age of your children and how technical they are they either will or will not enjoy the PSP. They are a serious piece of kit really. They take quite a bit of sorting to download stuff on to them, there are very few games that are good let alone great, films are expensive etc. They are shiny and flash but most gamers I know and talk to, have found themselves putting them on the shelf quite quickly, not getting back to them, and then selling them.
Whereas there are acres of proper fun to be had with the DS.
The fact that you mention they've been playing licenced games like Madagascar hints at them not being too old. And of course the DS covers all ages. It has all the fun and ease that the PSP doesn't have.
Via Wifi, they can play each other and they can play people around the world. They won't be put off as they've already enjoyed their SPs (and they come in pink and black too) There are some truly terrific games out there for them and you won't run dry of games to buy. The DS plays games from any region of the world so you can save quite a bit - and they can get games before all their friends - by you buying online from the US/Canada. I'll help you out anytime with pointers.
I don't know what you paid for your PSPs but selling them with games on ebay should see you easily pay for DSs and DS games. And have some left over. You're going to love the DS yourself too, once you watch them play.
I mix all day with gamers and have been playing since the dawn of it all (I'm 41) As a woman I really encourage girl gamers to grow in numbers and there's loads more on the DS that your daughter will enjoy than the PSP. I mix with male gamers too (in fact, mostly)and from 12 years old to 50+ years old, they love their DSs.
You need two DSs, a copy of Elite Beat Agents, a copy of Mario Kart and a copy of WarioWare Touched and your two will have Christmas made.
BTW I've got no shop or website or anything, just a dedicated gamer at home who has every consoleso knows about them.
If any non-gamers, Mums and Dads, grandparents want to ask about what games to get their children or grandchildren, please ask. You're getting very rum advice in games shops - I overhear it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention!!.... The DS plays all SP games too, so you won't have to get rid of those, just sell the SP consoles.0 -
Double post sorry, the forum was playing up a bit in the night.0
