Is there a site where i can input my favorite artists?

I'd like to broaden my music variety,

Is there a site where i can put my favorite artists, and listen to free music by up and coming singers of a similar nature, and also have suggestions of music by established singers?

I used to visit a site that did something very similar, with all the names in coloured spheres connected by lines, but I lost the URL & have never been able to find it again

so thanks for that, I'm going to enjoy browsing around :T

That's quite good fun, it would be awesome if you could click on an artist and listen to them.

Pandora used to be great for that... until they required you to use a US-based IP to connect to their service. Spotify often shows "related artists" if you type in a particular artist's name. TasteKid will recommend artists based on those you like, but there's no facility to listen to that music. I think Amazon also lets you select CDs you like and will use that info to make recommendations.

You can install an addon for most music players from last.fm which submits the songs you're listening to and suggests other artists based on what other people are listening to

I just go to Amazon and locate my favorite album/artist, below each album (when selected) is a list of what "other people who bought this" downloads/cds and you can normally listen to each track for 30 seconds or so. Amazon tend to have not bad prices either, not cheap but not as expensive as Apple and in addition wont delete your tracks once they are x years old as apple do if you don't back them up every single time!

Why don't you list your favourite artists here and then people can make suggestions and provide links to where you can listen (Myspace etc)?

last fm is the well known one,
http://www.we7.com/ used to be an online spotify but has changed to exactly what you are looking for now, so I would try that first.
