Can the OR complain about the amount of rent you pay? I live in a resonably nice 2 bedroom apartment that cost £650 a month and I have a take home pay of 2k. There is cheeper flats in the area, is there any chance they could force me to find something cheaper?

A cheaper flat might cost you £75 pcm month less, that's £900 over 12 months. How much would it cost you to move?
As long as your answer to JCS' question is 'yes' then it makes no sense to move or to be asked to do so.When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Like I say there is cheaper but then theres alot more expensive, I certainly wouldnt say its extravagant, you can get scummy above shop flats for about £450 and id say the average is about £550, non furnished. I picked this one because its fully furnished apart from sofa, so didnt need to spend money on fridge and washing machine beds etc.
