Hi All,
Just wondering if you can give me some help on finding good car boots (ones that are proper car boot'ers not traders) starting soon? Been looking around but can only find info from 2006!! Anywhere in Gt Manc or Cheshire
Much appreciated :-)

Bowlee Carboot, Middleton (run by Rochdale council- see their website).
Chelford Road carboot, postcode WA16 8SU Both are out doors.0 -
...most of the boot sales we go to seem to be full of traders, selling lighters, mobile phones, electrical items quite obviously rescued from the rubbish tip etc. LOL0

it got a bad reputation last year the guy who runs it is a crnky devil and fell out with most of the local sellers ... so theres not so many pitches there no ... however on a rainy day yo can park inside the huge greenhouse and that is when you really make yourself some money as it gets flooded .... y not try the carboot on the east lancs road (a580 ) 1 mile before the greyhound roundabout at leigh ... not many traders so it is quite unspoilt ... pitches open up from 5amNSD = 3/31 spent = £97.88/31 groceries = £26/31 fuel =2/31
various debts = /£14366.89:eek:secured loan = /£13887.21 full settlement figuremortgage = /£64,342.45

Styal Car boot on holly Lane is good on a nice day - i go every week when the weathers good. A few traders but not tat like mobile fone, cd's etc. Lots of genuine car boot stalls - plant man is very gd. Parking is £1 or free if on foot. There is a refreshment stand which is v good and portaloos
Little bit further afield is Chelmford car boot - there are 2 on the main rd one is mainly market traders but other is gr8 car boot. Expensive to park tho0 -
chelford is a great car boot but it costs £2.50 to park (however you can pack as many people in the car as you like, but if you walk in it's £2.50 EACH!!). the guy who runs it is a total @$$hole and shouts at people whilst they are parking up to sell (he has been hit by punters on a regular basis!) but its the best boot in the area- some traders yes but mainly private sellers so worth a go. its the one just outside of marthall, the one in chelford village centre is more of a market and is small and not really worth bothering!
Cheshire Lounge carboot is in the pub on the Bowden Roundabout and is 50p to get in, when the weather is nice it is very busy but a lot smaller than Chelford.Car Boot Queen!!
Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!0 -
St Helens car boot on Challoner Way is a multi storey car park in the centre of St Helens. Its council run and opened all year around.
There strickly no traders, car boot only and they do adhere to these rules.
Its a brilliant one because if its pouring down with rain its still open and the car booters dont get wet.
Had some fantastic bargains from there.0 -
