Hi All,
My OH is on a DMP with CCCS. She only changed the bank details for her Tax Credits on MOnday to use her basic bank, so 2 lots of payments have gone in to her Abbey accoujnt which is under the DMP.
She can't access the account, and when she spoke to Abbey on the phone they said she would have to go to the local branch to see if they could authrosie the release of the funds.
Are they allowed to with hold the tax credits? I'm sure I saw something ion here about it a while ago but I can't find it!
Thanks.

I'm not sure about the legalities of this. But, did you ring through to their Indian call centre (08459724724) or their proper complaints department (08456006014 - lines open Mon to Fri 8.30 to 5.30 & 9am to 1pm on Sat)? I found this department much more able to make decisions & discuss your account properly than the call centre or the branches.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. She rang the Indian one I think, but she is going to pop into her local branch on Monday. At least she now knows that they can't withhold the money so that is something
