Apologies if this hs been asked before.
I am employed and I have to pay to park at my city centre work location - can I claim that as an expense against my employment income on my Self Assessment Tax return?
Thanks v much.

But you can do a deal with your employer where they reduce your salary by an amount equal to your parking season ticket. That way you effectively get tax and national insurance relief on it.0

....which then means the parking 'paid for by the employer' becomes a benefit in kind and possibly subject to Income Tax!If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0
