£1 for 3 or 6 magazines + £5 cashback

So I received an email from "letssubscribe.com" which have some great offers on magazines. I looked on the site, saw the £1 for 3 or 6 magazines offer, checked through topcashback and you can also get £5 cashback on any subscription.
I've signed up to Autocar for 6 issues. You can cancel after the last issue and not be charged I think. I'm not sure if you can purchase another subscription holding this £1 price and still get cashback, but I may give it a go considering how little you have to pay.
The payment method is direct debit, but I'm aware it's easy to cancel so I'm not worrying too much.
Hope someone appreciates this

Dont wait until the last issue to cancel because I done that and they still billed me for (and sent out ) 2 more issues. They told me that they prepare the postage stickers 2 issues in advance.
Check your bank account for when they take the £1, then cancel the direct debit with your bank.
You dont have to tell the company, when they dont get their 2nd direct debit, they dont send any more mags.0 -
Can you do this more than once? I want to get some for my OH as well.0

Just signed up - thanks. :-)0

They've got a real dodgy way of stopping you from cancelling easy, but once you sign up, check the date the letter they send you says your first payment will be taken, then cancel it immediately afterwards (the next payment is only scheduled for a few weeks later, unsurprisingly). I've got to still wait a few days for my first payment to be taken, but hopefully cancelling right away will avoid any problems.0

Once you cancel the direct debit most companies won't send out any more magazines, what I usually do is set a reminder to be sent to me via email from my online calendar (Windows Live) around the time my second magazine is due (make it the 4th if its 6 mags) and then email them to say that I would like to cancel my subscription at the end of the trial. Its only good manners in any event, I tend to say either that the magazine wasn't suitable or that I can't currently afford to subscribe but a reason isn't actually necessary, keep a copy of your email and the confirmation they will send you back in return. THEN cancel your direct debit, they will ask you to do that in any eventDont wait until the last issue to cancel because I done that and they still billed me for (and sent out ) 2 more issues. As I pointed out in the post I just made, many companies will not send any further magazines once you cancel the direct debit (Dennis Publishing definitely won't), better to write and ask to cancel at the end of your trial. You are correct though about the letter, the second debit usually comes 6-8 weeks after the initial £1 (or whatever), this is because subscriptions are paid about a month in advance as a rulegeofferino wrote: »They've got a real dodgy way of stopping you from cancelling easy, but once you sign up, check the date the letter they send you says your first payment will be taken, then cancel it immediately afterwards (the next payment is only scheduled for a few weeks later, unsurprisingly). Glad some of you find this useful
I posted it a while back and found it odd people weren't responding.
I've had the £5 confirmed and I'm currently on my 3rd magazine of 6.
Although I created the thread, can anyone tell me when I should cancel the direct debit? I've never had to cancel one!
Thanks

That's when I always do it too, I've never had a problem with companies not sending any more magazines out to me if I cancel at this time.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0
