Contact them. Never ignore letters as the problem doesn't go away. If you have not received the original letter that they claim you 'ignored', explain that you never had one and would appreciate it if you could negotiate a payment plan that you are comfortable with.0

Debt case worker with who?
If you have one, then pass it to them.
It is a breach of OFT guidelines for a DCA to bypass your appointed representative and contact you directly.
Bailiffs could only happen if you didn't pay what the court ordered.
You and your caseworker would have ample opportunity to get what the court sets at something reasonable, even if at first they order something that you can't pay.
Bailiffs are used a lot as a threat, but are only rarely used. (a) the creditor rarely gets the opportunity to decide to use them and (b) they usually don't/can't recover anything anyway, so using them is a waste of time.
So try not to worry about these silly threats.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

In the unlikely event that the issue court proceedings, then get help from your case worker if you still have them at that point.
Or post up here and we will help you make sure that it never gets to any stage where things like bailiffs can be used.
Threats like these are designed to scare any worry you, but more often than not nothing ever comes from them.
And of course if you are going to apply for a DRO in the near future, then these threats are even more meaningless. The DRO would stop and prohibit any such action from being taken.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

''reliable collections letter help please''
Ignore the threats but do not ignore the snag. Talk to them (by letter) and through your helpful advisor. Offer what you can and pay it. They can then do nothing really.
I had a letter recently from a DCA threatening a 'doorstep' even though I had paid on time for the last 14 months. Rather than the standard template I actually invited them down to Cornwall for tea and a scone etc. I also said how much my 2 little twin boys would love to meet them. I then said that actually my 2 little boys are 24 yrs old twins who are about 5' 10'' and over 16 stone who play front row for a Rugby Union team. (absolute truth). Reply just said 'If I maintain payments etc .. no calls etc'' Split my sides.0 -
