"...and will inform the OFT, FOS and CSA of your actions."
Culex will point out that all three organisations are prety useless. But it might give more of an impression that you're intending to cause a stink if they do not back off.
If you ARE going to contact them (and I can see the arguments for and against) then you do need to be firm (to the point of aggressive) and see it through.0 -

I can see the arguments for and against contacting them, definitely. I'd rather attempt to deal with it rather than ignore it and hope it goes away. I'm happier having spoken to BarclayCard and confirmed that the details don't match up.

Especially with HFO.
They are a nasty outfit who quite honestly don't give a flying **** whether you actually owe the money or not.

If you are not the debtor the only downside to ignoring them is that they may start phoning you or calling your neighbours trying to fidn out where you are.0
