Dealing with my debts (At Last)

Hi Everyone.

I would just like to post and say it feels like I have been looking for a place like this for ages and now I’m home.

While my debts are not as large as some of the others on the forum, (yes I did read a bit before posting) they have been causing me hassles and stress just as much. I didn’t realize this until a few weeks back when I got contacted by a debt collection agency because of a debt owed to Barclaycard. I was on a payment plan with Barclaycard and had to go into hospital so tried arranging with them a 2 month payment break. They refused so I stopped paying them (this lasted for 7 months). As soon as the DCA took over I was no longer speaking to a bunch of faceless fascists and within 10 mins on the phone I had set up a direct debit to pay them. And the debt will be cleared in 3 years. Sorry for the long post.

I still have a car loan and a large overdraft to clear but for the first time in ages I know I am looking in the right direction.

I will put full details in my signature when I can figure out how to do its

Finally I knew how bad it had been because after I got off the phone I instantly felt a weight lift and since that time I have been able to get decent nights sleep. And other people have seen the difference. I smile more:rotfl:

Hi Bambi, welcome to the forum. If you click on "User CP" on the menu bar a little bit up the page, then "edit signature", you should be able to enter your details there.

I think you should have permissions to do it straight away, although you might have to wait until you've made a certain number of posts first (I forget exactly how it works)
