In other words, the non-FTB property. Because they know full well most FTB-s can't get a mortgage.

And are forced to stay in rented for longer.

Good news for landlords. Bad news for everyone else.

Including home owners who want to sell their homes.

Of course the other side effect its that any "average price" index will become meaningless for the FTB side of the market.
Arguably, this has been demonstrated already.

I'm off to baste my ham. And no, that's not a euphemism.;)

    :rotfl:

Not at the moment, but a few months of Aberdeen HPI, and I'm sure there'll be plenty of parsley sauce.

There's no shortage of summer holidays.

There is a shortage of mortgage funding.

    Boy.
Someone really does keep missing the point.

For those that can afford them.

Anyone trying to get 2 weeks somewhere nice for less than £300 might find a bit of a shortage.
    And there you have it.

Anyway, not going to debate this again.

    Probably for the best. ;)

That's not the definition of rationing though.

We've given you every definition from googles first page. You've yet to give us your definition.

Well, I lie. You've yet to give us your definition without removing words from a definition ;)

If part of the problem is that cash rich landlords are buying up properties and thereby squeezing FTBs. Then a way of rebalancing things would be to bring in some sort of mortgage rationing.

I don't think so. The way to rebalance things is to "unration" mortgages to FTBs (within reason) along with tax incentives for not "investing" in properties.

Call of Duty and parsley sauce, do not mix.

    Batter and chips, yes.

Actually, you make a good point there. I haven't had that for years.

I also remember boiled ham, parsley sauce, mashed spuds and carrots. For some reason, a liberal dose of white pepper seemed to create one of my favourite meals.

    Anyway, where were we ?
